Cottages to Rent in Devon With a Hot Tub
Located in the south-west of England, Devon is an amazing coastal county with two magnificent coastlines. This guide will take you through all the best places to go during your hot tub cottage break.

Why You'll Love The Holiday Cottages in Devon

From the northern Exmoor Coast to the southern Jurassic Coast, there are over 630 miles of coastline to see and explore in Devon. With major cities of Exeter and Plymouth to visit as well as the Dartmoor National Park for rural locations, Devon is a fantastic place for a cottage break.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5q5r29IHv10

There are seaside and medieval towns to explore, popular attractions to visit and an excellent range of local food and drink products to try.

Eating and Drinking

The south-west of England is famed for its cream tea. In Devon, scones are topped with cream followed by jam whereas in Cornwall it is the opposite way around - jam first then cream. Cream tea in Devon is served with local clotted cream and jam.

Hot Tub Cottage - Cream Tea
Definitely try a real cream tea during your cottage break.

Devon is a foodies dream with clotted cream made in the region as well as cream tea, local seafood, ice cream, blue cheese and fudge made with Devon clotted cream for you to enjoy. The county also has many micro-breweries producing their own real ale.

So, whether your cottage is on the Devonshire coast or in the countryside, taking a weekend breaks or a longer soak in your hot tub, you’ll be able to try a wide range of local produce at cafes, pubs, restaurants, farmers markets and food festivals.

Family Days Out

Devon has so much to enjoy on your family holidays out in the area. Crealy Theme Park is the biggest in the region with over 60 rides, attractions and shows!

The perfect fun day out for the whole family, there is a wide range of rides for thrill-seekers, little ones and families. From rollercoasters and log flumes to a pirate ship, animal exhibits and shows, there is something for everyone. Another fun attraction is the Dartmouth Steam Railway where visitors can enjoy a ride along the South Devonshire coast.

A Devon cottage makes for the ideal base for exploring the area. Taking guests through quaint villages and offering beautiful views, this is a memorable activity to do with the family.

Dartmouth Castle
Dartmouth Castle is well worth during your break and is one of the areas best castles.

Romantic Cottages For Couples

Devon is a beautiful county with two coastlines and a national park making it an idyllic location for couples to explore. The Valley of Rocks is a popular natural landmark on the South West Coastal Path. It boasts a unique U-shaped dry valley on the coast that is perfect for watching sunsets with your loved one.

Other scenic locations for romantic walks including Salcombe and Croyde beach. The towns and cities in Devon provide a great spot for date night where you can enjoy dinner and drinks at one of the many restaurants and pubs.

Dartmoor National Park is also a fantastic spot to view the night sky – take a blanket, snacks and drinks and enjoy a romantic evening together.

Why Devon makes for an ideal cottage break for dog lovers

Devon boasts wonderful countryside and miles of coastline making it a fab destination for your next dog-friendly holiday. Throughout the county, there are lots of dog-friendly places where you can explore with your pooch. On the South West Coast Path, you’ll find plenty of dog-friendly trails to take your furry friend on scenic walks.

Saunton Sands and Braunton beach are both dog-friendly for when you’re planning sandy beach walks. Some attractions in Devon are also dog-friendly which includes the Victorian Cliff Railway and many pubs, cafes and shops so you can take your four-legged friend everywhere with you.

Becky Falls in Dartmoor National Park is one of the most popular tourist attractions and a great place to visit with your pooch.
