• Croyde: dogs only from 1 October to 30 April.
• Saunton Sands: dogs allowed, with some zones restricted in the main season.
• Dartmoor: a short lead of no more than 2 metres on Access Land from 1 March to 31 July, and near livestock at any time (Dartmoor National Park).

Pets can ride the Victorian water-powered Cliff Railway between Lynton and Lynmouth, and they're welcome on leads at Becky Falls near Bovey Tracey, apart from the Animal Discovery Zone. Becky Falls is open daily from 10am to 5pm until 1 November 2026.
