#2 - Caernarfon Castle

This a medieval castle that has been well-preserved and has numerous towers that guests can climb and explore. The location of the castle provides stunning views across the surrounding town and river. The castle is open to the general public where you can explore the grounds, museum and exhibits.

#3 - Llyn Tegid

Also known as Bala Lake, this is one of the most picturesque lakes in Gwynedd. It is the largest lake in Wales and home to the rare gwyniad fish. Visitors can hire boats to canoe or sail on the lake for a fun experience. For those who want to sit back and relax, there is a narrow-gauge railway which runs alongside the lake. This is an enjoyable way to soak up the beautiful views and particularly fun for children.

#4 - Llanberis Lake Railways

A traditional narrow-gauge heritage railway that takes visitors along the shores of Llyn Padarn lake. The train ride provides spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains in the Snowdonia National Park.

#5 - Zip World at Penrhyn Quarry

A highly recommended for thrill-seekers visiting Gwynedd. Zip World has several zip lines for you to enjoy if you dare. It is home to Velocity 2 which is the fastest zip line in the world and the longest in Europe. You can also experience a quarry tour and eat at the Blondin restaurant which has views of the quarry and zippers flying by!
