Bothan Buie

Sleeps 2
Pets 1
Bedrooms: 1
Over 300 years old, the bothy takes its unique name from the lady who once lived there. It’s a no-frills pine-clad cosy lodge, and makes a perfect base for walkers looking to bag a few Munros. Settle back in the outdoor hot tub and feel those stresses melt away as you gaze over the loch, or up at the starry night, glass of wine in hand. Perhaps you’ll be inspired to sketch or photograph the stunning landscapes – or even start that novel you’ve always wanted to write. The cosy cabin is open-plan both downstairs and up, with a fully-equipped kitchen including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. There’s a large dining table to spread out the well-deserved feast on, and the maps to plan tomorrow’s hike too. There’s a comfortable lounge area with a big leather sofa to cosy up on after a long day out and about. Light the candles, get the wood burner roaring and settle down, before retiring up the open stairway to the comfortable bedrooms. The two double rooms in the eaves are semi open-plan, with a central bathroom between the two sleeping areas and TVs in each. Outside there’s ample space for cars, and panoramic views. Take your morning coffee and pastries outside and sit at the outdoor table looking across the glass-like loch to Skye, before heading out for the day’s adventures. You may even be lucky enough to have a visit from the local red deer.
