The two-storey property offers a plethora of original features including high ceilings, window shutters and fireplaces throughout its serene and beautifully lit interior, all complemented by carefully chosen soft furnishings that are enhanced by splashes of bold colours. The homely lounge/kitchen/diner, which leads into the garden and comes complete with wooden flooring and hanging lights, is open for long brunches or evening dinners that stretch into the wee small hours. Play pool in the games room or take one of the books from its library to pore over in front of the fire in the adjacent sitting room before everyone descends for a film or party games. Any food mishaps or slips in the garden can be easily solved by the nearby utility room. Expect a restful night’s sleep in one of the property’s four bedrooms - an en-suite king-size bedroom with an additional single bed, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and then a second king-size bedroom with an additional single bed. Those bedrooms without en-suite facilities have the use of a bathroom and a separate shower room. #1 - Lake Windermere Cruises

#4 - Brockhole

This is the visitor centre in Windermere, Lake District. Brockhole House and Garden are open to the public where you can explore the 19th century historic home and enjoy the stunning views across the landscapes of Lake Windermere and Langdale Pikes and make use of the on-site facilities which include water sports, treetop trek, mini-golf, playground and of course, a café and gift shop.

#5 - Aira Force

This magnificent waterfall is one of the most popular and spectacular you'll find in the Lakes.

The main waterfall is 70 feet tall and was the inspiration for Wordsworth famous poem ‘Airey-Force Valley'. Located near Ullswater lake, visitors can access a walking path directly from the Ullswater Steamer pier or drive to the main Aira Force car park where there is also an information kiosk, shop and tearoom.

#6 - Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway

Sit back and relax whilst you admire the beautiful scenery of the Lake District from a traditional steam train. The Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway is a 3.2-mile-long heritage railway that takes visitors on a scenic journey through the Leven Valley alongside the lake and river scenes.

The Lakeside train station is at the Lakeside Pier so visitors can take the boat from Bowness-on-Windermere to Lakeside and then a return train journey before returning to Bowness. One of the more easy-going attractions with some great views.
