A gorgeous romantic retreat for two, located in the pretty village of kirkby green, this single-storey property has been beautifully renovated to offer a luxurious escape for two. set in a picture-perfect village, which in itself offers beautiful walks from your doorstep and open spaces to explore. just over a mile away is a lovely country pub which also offers food. woodhall spa (8 miles) is a beautiful former spa town set amidst magnificent 19 acres of pine woods owned by the woodland trust. regarded as one of lincolnshire's most attractive villages, it is famous for its peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. just over 9 miles away in a picturesque setting by the river slea, a fully restored working watermill, and is thought to be the only sheriff’s watermill still operating in england, producing flour on this site for over a thousand years.

A fabulous holiday home designed to make the most of its waterside position situated in south norfolk, from which guests are able to explore the many local attractions. those of an energetic nature may wish to visit nearby thetford forest with high wire experiences and stunning walking and cycling tracks, while race fans will enjoy a trip to snetterton race circuit, just a short drive away and has a year-round calendar of events. the suffolk and norfolk coasts attract visitors to the charming resorts such as southwold, sheringham and cromer and can be reached during a day trip while inland attractions include national trust and english heritage properties, banham zoo and the historic cities of norwich and bury st edmunds.
arriving at the lodge guests will follow the shingle path around the far end of the lake before entering this studio-style home from the raised and private decking. the lounge area features a comfortable sofa on which to catch up with any tv shows and enjoy the views out over the lake. moving through to the kitchen/diner, guests are able to rustle up all manners of cuisine with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, and enjoy the resulting meals either on the table in the kitchen with a window out to the lake so you can enjoy the views whilst eating. the sleeping area houses the king-size bed with bedside tables and lamps to ensure a good night’s rest. finally, completing the property is the, shower room with shower and wc, to re-invigorate and refresh.

Located on the private grounds surrounded by beautiful countryside and farmland you really will feel relaxed and at one with nature during your stay at this property. directly from the property, you have public footpaths, one of which takes you to the beautiful church at aldham village once featured on tv. hadleigh, one of the old wool towns, has a choice of pubs, shops and coffee shops and is just 3.7 miles away. the popular medieval village of kersey (5.1 miles) and lavenham (12 miles) are both well worth a visit and both have a choice of places to shop, eat and drink and keen golfers will enjoy a visit to hintlesham hall just 4.6 miles away. there is an abundance of cycle routes close by, enjoy the meandering country roads and the picturesque villages.
upon entering you instantly notice the care and attention the owners have put into this renovation to make your stay feel as comfortable as possible and have even raised the roof to give a superb sense of space. the open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area is the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a busy day out exploring so why not fire up the wood burner and read a book, or even catch up on your favourite show on the smart tv. the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and a washer/dryer. when you are ready for bed, the spacious bedroom is towards the back of the property and has a comfortable king-size bed and an en-suite shower room with a shower and wc.
there is access to the balcony from the bedroom or the front door and this provides a truly special place to sit on the furniture provided and take in your surroundings (please note the balcony has a zip wire to keep it enclosed so regret no children under 10). the owners are happy for guests to share their grounds and wander through their garden. there is also an enclosed private seating area and hammock with bbq for guests to enjoy. there is parking for two cars and an electric charging point which is paid directly to the owner if required for an additional fee.
